PKD Bridge is an independent project based in the United States.
No cookies or trackers
This site sets no cookies. It uses no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics scripts. Nothing on the site follows you to other websites.
What the hosting provider records
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request information, including your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, in order to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. PKD Bridge does not receive that information. What PKD Bridge sees is aggregate counts, such as how many times a page was viewed or a file was downloaded, and it uses those counts only to evaluate the initiative, for example to see whether the School Toolkit is being downloaded. Cloudflare publishes its own privacy policy describing how it handles this information.
Reading pages and downloading files
PKD Bridge does not collect personal or health information when you read pages or download files. There is no account to create, and nothing on this website asks for your name, your email address, or anything about your health.
If you email contact@pkdbridge.org, the project reads your message and may reply. Your message and your address are not shared with anyone else, other than the services that forward and store the project’s email (Cloudflare Email Routing and the mailbox provider). Messages are kept only as long as needed to answer them and to keep a record of project correspondence. Please do not include private medical details: PKD Bridge cannot give medical advice and does not need medical information to answer general questions.
Young people
PKD Bridge is written for teenagers, and Teen Voices will involve people under 18. PKD Bridge does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, through this website. If you are under 18, please do not send personal details or health information by email; a parent or guardian can write on your behalf if something needs to be shared. If you believe a young person has sent personal information to PKD Bridge and you would like it deleted, email contact@pkdbridge.org and it will be deleted.
Fonts
The typefaces used on this site are served from pkdbridge.org itself. No font or other content is loaded from another company’s servers, so reading this site does not send your visit to anyone else.
Teen Voices
Teen Voices is not yet open. When it opens, the consent process and how contributor information is handled will be described on the Teen Voices page before anything is collected.
Links to other sites
This site links to other organizations, such as the PKD Foundation and NIDDK. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which PKD Bridge does not control.
